frequently asked questions
When should I schedule my maternity shoot?
For best results in a single session maternity photo shoot, we recommend scheduling 3-4 weeks before the due date. We find this balance shows the most of the pregnancy without risking leaving it too late, or compromising the pregnancy photos due to difficulties in mobility and endurance.
What dresses do you have available?
Our studio wardrobe has a variety of dresses and dramatic robes (including the stunning red robe from the top of the gallery). Please contact us and we will send you a document with the maternity dresses that we have available in your size.
Can you do maternity shoots outdoors or in my home?
Yes! Our maternity shoots can be conducted both in the studio or at your chosen location, including your home, the beach, or any other spot. We are able to provide a full studio set up in almost any living room. Our maternity photo shoots require a $100-$150 travel fee for most outdoor shoots. We can also shoot at Lane Cove National Park, close to our studio, for a lower rate.
Do you offer newborn packages?
After your pregnancy is over, we would be honoured to capture the love between your family. While we do not provide sessions for when your baby is just born, we do provide motherhood sessions. These are typically scheduled when your baby is 3-6 months old and is strong enough to hold their head, which allows for a wider variety of poses. Your partner and other family members are welcome to join you for this session as long as it is discussed in advance with our photographer.
Can I bring my own hair and make-up artist?
You are also welcome to arrange a hair and make-up artist yourself, or have a friend take care of it for you! Packages already including a hair and make-up artist will be discounted if bringing your own. Additional studio hire rates may apply when bringing your own hair and make-up artist.
